Privacy notice
Saint John Bosco Institute of Arts and Sciences collects and processes personal information of applicants, students, parents/guardians and personnel only for legitimate educational and administrative purposes, in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission.
What we collect
Identification and contact details, family and guardian information, educational background, admission documents, enrollment and academic records, attendance, assessments and payment records, and system activity logs (such as sign-in time and IP address) needed to keep the system secure.
Why we use it
To evaluate applications, register and enroll students, keep official academic and financial records, communicate announcements, comply with DepEd/CHED and government reporting, and protect the security of our systems.
Automated assistance
UNIPRO may use AI tools to help staff summarize records or answer common questions. These tools are advisory only: admission, grading and financial decisions are always made by authorized school personnel. Only the minimum information necessary is shared with AI services, and never with users who are not authorized to see it.
Who can see it
Access is limited by role: each staff member sees only what their duties require, students see their own records, and parents/guardians see records of linked students only when access has been granted. All sensitive actions are recorded in an audit log.
How long we keep it
Permanent academic records (such as grades and transcripts) are kept as required by law and education regulators. Other records are kept only as long as necessary for their purpose and then securely disposed of.
Your rights
You have the right to be informed, to access, to correct, to object, to erasure or blocking where applicable, to data portability, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
